APPLICATIONS
Biochemistry Photosynthetic electron transport inhibitor at the photosystem II receptor site. Mode of action Herbicide, absorbed mainly through the roots, with slight absorption through the leaves and stems. Uses Total weed and brush control on non-crop land at 5-15 kg a.i./ha. Also for selective control of annual and perennial weeds and grasses in citrus and pineapple plantations at rates in the range 1.5-8 kg/ha. Formulation types GR; SL; WP. Compatibility Water-soluble formulations are incompatible with ammonium sulfamate and liquid preparations of amitrole. Herbicides containing soluble calcium salts form precipitates when used with water-soluble formulations of bromacil.
